Description
The Akira Seiki SL40 and SL40L are the largest in the series of Performa 2 axis CNC lathes. They deliver high performance and can turn parts as long as 59'' (1,500 mm). Standard equipment includes a 15" hydraulic chuck with a bar capacity of 4'' (103 mm). The 12 station Hydraulic turret easily handles all the tools needed for all of your 2 axis turning applications.Standard equipment for this machine includes preparation for bar feeders and a hydraulic tailstock.
The machine can also be equipped with a chip conveyor, part conveyor, bar puller, manual & automatic tool setup probes, work piece touch probes and a coolant drum filter (suitable for capturing tiny chips when machining aluminum).
